I LIKE must-have basics.
Ah, shit. Here we go. Guys, I found a company I like and I think you will like it too. Now, I'd like to preface this by saying that none of it makes any fiscal sense whatsoever. There, you’ve been warned. Now, let’s get to spending!
Some of you who are in my same target demographic (midlife women clinging to style) may have seen it on the interwebs…showing up on the social feeds of your choice. I tried to ignore it for a long time, shaking my head in pure disbelief at the prices. But jeez, those Meta ads are consistent. Well, I have been influenced.
I am a sucker for quality. Don’t get me wrong, season to season I will run to H&M with the best of the young kids, although they will surely outrun me and my hobbit legs. (Hobbit legs, you ask? See more about that here.)
Perfectwhitetee is a Made in the USA-based company located in California and I have come to realize their products are worth the spend. When I bought one of these summer-y night shirts above (called the Zeppelin, but unfortunately they have discontinued for Fall), I was intrigued as to why they were asking me for one of my mortgage payments. (Not really, but close enough.)
When the package arrived, I tried it on…and honestly I wasn’t sure at first. It is 100% cotton but it felt a teeny tiny bit scratchy. I shrugged, and put it in the wash. When I put it on again I didn’t even understand why it felt so good. Like I couldn’t comprehend it…and now I can’t take it off. If any of my clients are reading this, you may recognize it because it’s all I wear, even on Zooms (although now I guess you know I am never wearing pants and also, I sometimes share too much.)
I love it and I quickly ordered another one in navy as well. Even though these specific shirts are no longer available, (sad face) I would bet my hobbit legs that everything that comes from this company is just as lovely. And when I say lovely, that’s exactly how it feels on every inch of my skin. If I could describe it…I would say it is quiet luxury at its finest. It’s a calming experience! When I wear it, it literally feels like it is breathing for me. Sounds strange until you experience it and then you realize how many clothes out there feel like wet paint. (H&M I’m talking to you…but you have your place.) I look forward to putting this on every. single. time.
Some of my “gotta-have-nexts” are any of the v-neck tees. (my collarbone screams for me to show her off as much as possible. She’s very demanding.) These tees come in a lot of different colors. Any of you who know me know that I am not a color person—white is my favorite color—but I think this color below is fantastic and looks great with jeans. They have many other items, sweaters, sweatshirts and more.
I have yet to try every product, but I have had a long talk with my wallet and she and I have come to terms. Maybe, next I should buy some of their pants.
xo
PS. Blooper Image below, my dog decided to photo bomb my shoot…really buddy? I mean, doesn’t he understand that I am trying to be all serious and influencer-y?!
